The piece that does not exist yet.
About a third of what leaves this bench was never listed for sale. If you know roughly what you want — or only what it is for — start here. The first conversation costs nothing and ends with an honest answer about whether we are the right people for it.
The drawer. Roughly two hundred pearls at any time, none of them listed for sale.
What people usually ask for
A piece built around loose pearls
We hold back a small number of pearls from every harvest that are too good, too odd, or too few to make a listed piece. They are available to commission around, and they are the reason to start here rather than with the collection.
An heirloom rebuilt
Inherited strands usually arrive with stretched silk, a failing clasp, and two or three pearls that have worn through. We assess free, tell you honestly what is worth saving, and match replacements against the originals rather than against a chart.
A matched pair, sourced to order
Matching two large pearls for earrings can take a year of watching harvests. If you have the time we will do the looking, at an agreed ceiling, with no obligation if nothing good enough turns up.
Something for a date you cannot move
Weddings, anniversaries, a graduation. Tell us the date first. If it cannot be done properly in the time, we would rather say so than rush a strand.
How it runs
Tell us what it is for
The form below, an email, or a phone call. There is no minimum and no obligation.
A consultation, free
Forty-five minutes at the bench or over video. We will show you what is in the drawer, what is possible at your number, and what is not.
A written proposal
Specification, grading targets, a fixed price, and a realistic date. Nothing is charged until you accept it.
Sourcing and making
Six weeks for work on pearls we already hold; up to a year if we are waiting on a harvest. You get progress photographs as it goes.
Delivery, with the report
The finished piece, the signed grading report, and the same lifetime restringing as anything else we sell.
Start a commission
Nothing here is required except a way to reach you. The more you can tell us, the more useful the first reply will be.
